Rediscovering the Word of God for everyday life.

The Sanctuary of La Verna, a place of prayer and Franciscan spirituality, presents the initiative “Understanding the Bible Today”: a journey of in-depth study of the Holy Scriptures to rediscover the Word of God as a light for everyday life.

As Saint Jerome reminds us, “ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ”: for this reason, the meeting aims to offer simple and concrete tools to listen to, understand, and live the Word in daily life.

Moments of lectio divina, meditation, and sharing will be guided by the friars of the Sanctuary, in an atmosphere of silence, fraternity, and listening to the Spirit.
